A Special Literary and Theatrical Evening for Passover: on the tradition of telling and retelling.

On the power of the written word to preserve memory from the past and create fresh meaning in the present.

At the heart of the evening is an original creation by Gabriella Lev, woven from traditional texts and songs

- from the Bible, the Haggadah, and other sources -

alongside living testimony, contemporary literature, and poetry, and personal writing. Through these, Gabriella explores how culture is told and how memory is carried.

During the event, we will examine how present-day writing converses with the voices of the past,

and how the ancient commandment “vehigadeta levincha” continues to exist as a living and renewed literary act in contemporary work.

ערב ספרות מיוחד לכבוד חג הפסח: על מסורת הדיבור והסיפור 

מסע ספרותי ותיאטרלי מיוחד בין הטקסט המסורתי של ליל הסדר ועד הסיפורים והמילים הנכתבים בימים אלה.

על כוחה של המילה הכתובה לשמר זיכרון מן העבר ולייצר משמעות רעננה בהווה.

במרכז הערב תעמוד יצירה מקורית של גבריאלה לב השוזרת טקסטים שונים שמתכתבים זה עם זה

- מהמקרא, מההגדה, משירה עכשווית ומכתיבה אישית - ונעה בדיאלוג חי בין הזיכרון האישי להיסטוריה הקולקטיבית.

במהלך האירוע נבחן כיצד המילים הנכתבות בזמן הזה משוחחות עם קולות העבר,

וכיצד הציווי העתיק "והגדת לבנך" ממשיך להתקיים כמעשה ספרותי חי ומתחדש ביצירה העכשווית.
